Vicki Meade, RN has been named director of Hospice of Memorial Hospital and Carrie Drown, RN has been named director of Memorial Home Health Care.
Meade and Drown started their new positions when Hospice of Memorial Hospital and Memorial Home Health Care became separate departments.
Meade started as a staff nurse at Memorial over 19 years ago and spent nearly 16 years as the Patient Care Coordinator for Hospice.
Drown brings more than 18 years of healthcare experience to Memorial Home Health. She started at Memorial in 1991 as a staff nurse. Drown has also served a Case Management Coordinator and a nurse supervisor as well as acting as Interim COO at Memorial. She has been responsible for patient care, quality assurance, infection control and expanding home health functions.
Home Health care is for patients who have left a hospital, but are still in need for some medical attention, while hospice care gives terminally ill patients and their families choices in order to enhance the quality of the final stages of their lives.
