Bank celebrates its 75th anniversary with a 3 for 2 stock split

The National Bank of Oak Harbor in August celebrated its 75th Anniversary by hosting a red carpet event for shareholders and guests, according to a company press release. The Oak Harbor office was transformed inside and out. As guests entered the red carpet, they were greeted by Gary P. Macko, president and CEO and Charles E. Hablitzel, chairman of the board of directors. They were then encouraged to continue their walk down the red carpet through memory lane, where one could reminisce by viewing window boxes featuring bank history and viewing a video.

Life-sized cardboard characters from the 1930’s, such as Humphrey Bogart, Clark Gable, Vivien Leigh and Betty Boop decorated the scene under two large tents. The crowd was entertained by 12-piece big band “Dana Dorsey and The Blue Notes” playing the most popular jazz and pop music from the 1920’s and beyond.

The most exciting moment of the night is when the crowd erupted into cheers after Hablitzel announced a 3 for 2 stock split for all Indebancorp shareholders of record July 31st.

Indebancorp is the holding company for The National Bank of Oak Harbor. Established in 1934, The National Bank of Oak Harbor is an independent, community bank with four full service locations in Oak Harbor, Curtice, Port Clinton and Oregon, as well as one mortgage loan office in Fremont.
