Commodore Perry Joins network for Shared banking

Commodore Perry Federal Credit Union has joined a network of credit unions that share more than 3,000 branch offices to provide members with more convenient access to their accounts.

Commodore Perry is a member of Shared Branching network which will allow customers to make deposits, cash personal checks, withdraw funds, transfer money and process loan payments and advances.


Commodore Perry is a $26 million cooperative located serving Ottawa County. It has offices in Port Clinton and Oak Harbor. To see a list of participating branches go to

More than 125 volunteers at Bay Park Community Hospital will be honored for the 21,460 hours they provided to thousands of area patients and families throughout 2008. In celebration of National Volunteer Month, the hospital will honor their volunteers during a gala event on Wednesday, April 22 at noon, at Maumee Bay State Park.

Riaz Chaudhary, MD, founder and president of the Oregon Clinic, is the recipient of Bay Park Community Hospital’s 2008 Medical Staff Distinguished Service Award.

Dr. Chaudhary was recognized for his contribution to nursing, physician education and overall improvement in hospital quality care.

Dr. Chaudhary serves as a  board member of both the Eastern Maumee Bay Chamber of Commerce and the Toledo Rotary Club.

Teresa Warnke, Graytown, has been honored for her sales accomplishments by lia Sophia, a direct seller of fashion jewelry.

Warnke was honored for attaining sales goals during her first 15 weeks as a sales advisor.

New products
Fremont Federal Credit Union now offers student loans through a program called CU Student Choice. The private loan program helps fill the gaps that federal aid can leave behind.
