Sacred Heart Home ranks among best in the State of Ohio
The Little Sisters of the Poor Sacred Heart Nursing Home placed in the top 25 nursing homes in the state of Ohio in the 2008 Nursing Home Resident Satisfaction Survey.

The survey of family satisfaction of nursing home care is conducted annually by the Ohio Department of Aging. Of the 630 nursing homes who participated, 33 scored above the state average. The average satisfaction score was 88.2 percent.  Sacred Heart received a score of 97.9.

President-elect
The Toledo Board of Realtors installed their 2009 officers and newly elected directors at their Recent annual business meeting.

Kenneth Marciniak, Signature Associates, was installed as president and Mary Ann Coleman, Welles Bowen, Realtors, president-elect. Mrs. Coleman is an Oregon resident.

Also installed as newly elected directors were David Browning, Welles Bowen, Realtors; Bradley Crown, RE/MAX Central Group; Robert Lohner, RE/MAX Preferred Associates; Ronald Patton, Directions Credit Union; and Jody Zink, Loss Realty Group.

Also recognized were the 2008 Realtor of the Year Melissa Utterback, The Danberry Co. and 2008 Citizen of the Year, Richard Baker, The Danberry Co. These awards are given in recognition of outstanding service to the Association and the community.

The Toledo Board of Realtors is a professional trade association with a membership of 1500 individuals from various real estate companies and Affiliate Members in the Toledo, Lucas County, and Wood County areas.  The Board represents both residential and commercial specialists.


New officers
The Genoa Area Chamber of Commerce has elected new officers. They are: Gaylord Sheldon, president; Mitch Hoyles, vice president; Derek Sprouse, treasurer and Nancy Bennett secretary. New trustees are Keith Hille, Greg Dear and Tim Davies.

Gold stars
Virginia Bahs, realtor with Batdorff Real Estate in Oak Harbor, has been awarded the “Presidents Sales Club” Award of Achievement designation from the Ohio Association of Realtors.

Bahs was recognized for achieving annual sales or commercial leases of at least $1 million.

The National Bank of Oak Harbor recently adopted the Identity Theft Red Flag Policy. This policy encompasses all areas of the bank in an attempt to protect customers from identity theft. The program uncovers potential problems and assists customers in resolving them.
