A new storefront has opened its doors at 624 Main St. in Genoa. NutritionWorks, a nutrition club that offers over 65 different flavors of shakes as well as nutrition classes and coaches, is the start-up of four local entrepreneurs.
“We wanted to help our downtown business district prosper and encourage our friends and neighbors to live a healthier lifestyle” stated Tiffany Turner, part owner. Turner and her husband Tom partnered with another local couple, Josh and Maria Maluchnik. While the Turners have successfully opened Nutrition Decision on St. Rt. 795 in Perrysburg, the Maluchnik’s tentatively plan on opening another nutrition club location in Northwood, but for now, are focused on the success of the Genoa location.

Tiffany Turner, whom has already has lost 24 pounds in ten weeks strictly by accident, said “I liked the shakes and started by drinking just one a day purely for enjoyment. Before I knew it, I had lost 10 pounds and I felt so much better. I thought what if I really tried and did two shakes a day”. She went on to say “ it’s a combination of a great product that tastes good and really works, as well as the accountability I have with my nutrition group, it helps keeps us all on track”.
The Turner’s and Maluchnik’s have made it a priority to not only be members of the local business community, but to be involved -- in the community. To kick off their involvement, they will be having a ‘Kiddy Halloween Haunted House’ on October 29th from 7-9:30, during and after the Genoa kiddy Halloween parade.
The first weight loss challenge will start November 29 and end January 10 with registration beginning November 7th.
