Artistic Memorials celebrates 10th by helping Honor Flight

Artistic Memorials is celebrating 10 years in business this month by donating 10 percent of all monument sales to Honor Flight of Northwest Ohio, according to Jeff Pettit, owner.
Pettit, a Lake Township resident, worked for another area monument company for 18 years before branching out on his own in 2002. Since then, he has become a Certified Memorialist as well as a Monument Builders of North America Design Course Graduate. He has been a board member of the Monument Builders of Ohio and is currently serving as their President.

More local government collaboration on the way, speakers say Look for more collaboration among local governments looking to cut costs even though local tax revenues are increasing.
That was the message delivered to the members of the Eastern Maumee Bay Chamber of Commerce at the organization’s annual State of Our Communities breakfast meeting Thursday at the Lutheran Home of Toledo.

Opportunity knocks Bob Salazar has joined GenoaBank as a financial consultant at GenoaFinancial, the bank’s financial advisory center.
He will work out of the bank’s Crossroads and Maumee Branches, but will be available to provide financial consulting services by appointment at any of the bank’s other locations. He will provide services and advice to help customers achieve their financial goals and objectives; serving the communities in Wood and Lucas Counties.
Salazar, a Maumee resident, is a Certified Life Underwriter and a Charter Financial Consultant.

Chamber sets date for annual State of Communities Address The Eastern Maumee Bay Chamber of Commerce will host its Annual State of The Communities Address Thursday, Jan. 26 at 7:30 a.m. at the Lutheran Home at Toledo, 131 N. Wheeling in Toledo.
Representatives from Oregon, East Toledo, Northwood, Walbridge and Jerusalem Township will speak about progress in their communities in 2011 and plans for 2012.

Chamber seeks nominees for 19th Annual Prism Awards The Eastern Maumee Bay Chamber of Commerce seeks nominations for its 19th annual Prism Awards, which honors excellence in this area’s businesses and organizations.
The deadline for nominations is Friday, February 17.
