Diocese of Toledo Bishop Leonard Paul Blair has announced that Rev. David A. Reinhart will be released to the Archdiocese of Military Services to serve as an active duty chaplain in the U.S. Air Force effective July 1.

Father Reinhart is currently serving as the Pastor of Our Lady of Mount Carmel parish in Bono and president of the Kateri Catholic School System in Oregon. He will be replaced by Rev. Eric P. Schild, who is currently serving as Associate Pastor at Saint Wendelin Parish in Fostoria and is a faculty member at Saint Wendelin High School.

In addition, effective immediately, Rev. Joseph A. Weigman has been granted disability retirement while remaining chaplain to Sacred Heart Home for the Aged, Oregon, the Bishop said.

to Walt Disney World in Orlando to compete in the Twirl Mania baton twirling competition.

The twirlers included Lake High School senior Jayna Kubuske, and Miranda VanHoozen and Meredith Williamson, of Perrysburg.

Kubuske, 18, received sixth place in Advanced Basic Strut. Along with competing in the contest, the girls marched in a Disney parade in Hollywood Studios.

Art on exhibit
Toledo artist Keith A. Hasenbalg is having his first-ever solo show, “Getting to Know Thyself,” a brief retrospective, at the Art & Soul by Phoebe gallery in Muncie, Ind. The show, which runs through March 19, features over 20 paintings by the artist.

Hasenbalg has worked as a professional artist for over 30 years, most of his life as an architectural illustrator. In 2001, he won the contract for his first civic mural – the Harry Stensen Mural in Port Clinton, OH on a 23-foot by 73-foot wall that serves as a place of historic pride for the city. He has since done seven similar large-scale murals across Ohio cities.
