Eagle Scout honored
Eagle Scout Christopher Michael Pfaff was honored at a ceremony held Oct. 27 at 3 p.m. at St. John Lutheran Church, Williston. He is a member of Troop 342 in Williston.

Pfaff, 13, is an eighth-grader at St. Kateri Catholic Academy in Oregon. For his Eagle Scout project, he designed raccoon-proof, squirrel-proof and deer-proof bird feeding stations at the Nature Centers at Maumee Bay and East Harbor state parks.

Theresa Fedor honored
State Rep. Teresa Fedor (D- Toledo) was honored recently at the Public Children Services Association of Ohio (PSCAO) 2013 “Making a Difference” Annual Conference.

PCSAO is a private, non-profit association of the county public children services agencies charged with the protection throughout Ohio.

Wasserman appointed
The Sandusky County Communities Foundation has appointed Tim Wasserman to its Board of Trustees. He assumes the seat vacated by Mark Egbert, who retired after many years of service to the Foundation Board.

A native of Fremont, Wasserman is the director of the Ottawa-Sandusky-Seneca Recycling and Waste District, where he has been employed for 23 years. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication from Bowling Green State University where he specialized in Journalism and Public Relations.
