Family Game Night
The Knights of Columbus River East Mother Teresa Council 14344 held a Cabin Fever Family Game Night Feb. 11 at Sacred Heart Church.
Families, friends and council members of the councils seven parishes in East Toledo and Oregon came together and shared fellowship in a family game night. Each family brought a favorite card or board game, from apples to apples to monopoly. Brother Knights provided refreshments.
The evening culminated with the drawing for the council’s raffle. The highlight of the night was the drawing for the council’s fundraiser/charity raffle. Terry Barraclough won the first-place prize of $500, Eileen Szabo won the second-place prize of $300 and Dog Sallows won the third-place prize of $200.
The raffle raised $1,500 for council, which will be used for expenses and local charities. Knights of Columbus membership is open to males over 18 who are practicing Catholics. For more information, call Matt Stapleton at 419-509-5987.
Judge Keller feted at dinner
The Arbors at Oregon and the Willows facility welcomed Judge Jeffery B. Keller as a special dinner guest March 1.
Residents, their family members, and staff conversed with the Judge not only about politics, but also about his family and leisure endeavors.
At the end of the evening, a cake was served in the judge’s honor, after which Judge Keller addressed questions from those in attendance.
