Terra names president
The Terra State Community College Board of Trustees has unanimously selected current Vice President for Student and Administrative Affairs Dr. Jerome Webster as the college’s sixth president.

Board Chair Carl E. Koebel lauded Dr. Webster’s experience and innovative ideas, along with his leadership capabilities and knowledge of higher education issues that face community colleges.

Dr. Webster a resident of Fremont, will succeed Dr. Marsha S. Bordner. He will begin serving a three-year contract effective July 1.

“I am humbled and truly honored to be given this opportunity to serve the board of trustees, the college, our students and the community in this new role,” Dr. Webster said. “I believe we have one of the best groups of faculty and staff that exist on any college campus. I am thrilled to be serving you, our alumni, donors, the business community and the elected officials that support this wonderful college and its mission to be the catalyst for prosperity in our region.”


Trinity UCC featured
Trinity United Church of Christ in Elliston, which is celebrating its 150th anniversary this year, will be honored during the “Country Church Salute” segment of the weekly Saturday-morning agriculture program, “U.S. Farm Report” on Feb. 4.
