The winners in the Oak Harbor Apple Festival Kiddie Tractor Pull have been announced. They include (in first-, second- and third-place order):
 
Division I (up to 45 pounds): Noah Howey Jenna Burroughs Tait Dusseau.
 
Division II (46-60 pounds): Matthew Dewitz, Mason VanNess, Jarrett Mitchell.
 
Division III (61-75 pounds): Kassidie Shimmel, Ryan McDougall, Katie Shadoan.
 
Division IV (76-90 pounds): Kevin Aikman, Austin Buhrow, Brittany Lipper.
 
This year’s Kiddie Tractor Pull was the largest in festival history, with a total of 58 different contestants competing.

Manning the kettle 
On Nov. 6, Postmasters from Lindsey, Walbridge, Helena, Luckey, Dunbridge, Harbor View, Gibsonburg, Oak Harbor, Millbury, Pemberville, Rocky Ridge, Stony Ridge, Woodville, Graytown, Bowling Green, Port Clinton, and Clay Center will be sponsoring the Salvation Army Red Kettle at The Andersons Woodville Mall.

What are the odds?
When Brian Lee Miller, 51, of Fostoria, was issued a citation Oct. 9 in Lake Township, the name of the patrolman on the ticket was that of Brian L. Miller.
 
Patrolman’s Miller’s middle name is also Lee. The men are not related, according to the township police department.
