Despite being one of the hottest days of the year with soaring temperatures and humidity, about 100 people participated in the recent Mingle at the Meadows event at Luther Homes Senior Complex in Gibsonburg.

Participants enjoyed entertainment by The Sleek Brothers and a supper of chicken sandwiches, hot dogs with Coney sauce and a variety of desserts.

The event was sponsored by Luther Meadows and the WSOS Gibsonburg Senior Center. Eastwood grads to gather
Eastwood High School class of 1980 will hold an informal potluck gathering Aug. 20 at 7 p.m. at the home of Cathy (Smithey) Rahe, 1750 Elmore, Rd., Pemberville. 

Those attending should bring their own beverages.
