Wood County Juvenile Court Judge David Woessner was named Honorary D.A.R.E. Officer for the State of Ohio during the 2009 D.A.R.E. Association of Ohio Annual Training Conference held Aug. 14 at King’s Island in Mason, O.

Judge Woessner was nominated for the statewide award by D.A.R.E. officers from Wood County in recognition of his support of the D.A.R.E. program.

“As Wood County’s Juvenile Court Judge, I see first hand the results of drugs, alcohol and violence in the home,” Judge Woessner said. “The D.A.R.E. program helps to deal directly with these issues. Wood County is extremely fortunate to have strong D.A.R.E. officers.

“I feel truly honored and humbled to be named an Honorary D.A.R.E. Officer,” he said.
