Award for Bratton
Ottawa County Sheriff Robert L. Bratton has received the Detective Keith Dressel Law Enforcement Officer of the Year Award.

The presentation took place at the annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Night of the American Society for Industrial Security, Toledo Chapter, held at the Pinnacle in Maumee, Ohio.

Sheriff Bratton was nominated for the award by Captain Steve Levorchick of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department.

The sheriff has 35 years in the law enforcement profession. His career began in 1973 with the Sylvania Township Police Department, then with the Lucas County Sheriff’s Department, before serving 15 years with the Northwood Police Department. Sheriff Bratton has been with the Ottawa County Sheriffs Office for the past 16 years, starting at the rank of lieutenant, captain and then chief deputy before being elected sheriff five years ago.
