Oak Harbor book signings set
“Images of America – Oak Harbor,” a book co-authored by Dick Martin, John Liske and Frank Gluth, is now on sale in Oak Harbor at Oak Harbor Hardware, Community Market, The Rocket Shop and Kozy Corners.
Book signings are scheduled March 23 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at Oak Harbor Library; March 26 from 10 a.m.-noon and 4-6 p.m. at Community Market in Oak Harbor; and March 31 at a time to be determined at the Book Exchange in Port Clinton.
The book is also being sold by Arcadia Publishing Co., Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Hastings Books and Books a Million.
Gene Gilsdorf honored
The Lake Township trustees have approved a resolution of appreciation for Gene Gilsdorf, who has been involved in many civic endeavors.
The resolution, approved by the board of trustees March 19, notes Gilsdorf's involvement with Boy Scouts of America for 63 years as well as his work on the township's Sesquicentennial Committee and his contributions to the History of Lake Township book.
Gilsdorf is a founding member of the Friends of Lake Township Parks and a member of VFW Post 9963.
“Gene Gilsdorf has left a lasting legacy of honor, commitment, and unselfish dedication to the community he resides in and the Lake Township trustees wish to offer their sincere thanks and recognition to Gene for his loyal affection to the community of Lake Township,” the resolution says.
