Ho, ho, holidays in Oak Harbor
Santa Claus arrived in Oak Harbor Saturday Dec. 1 on the Portage Fire District Truck, and lit the Village Christmas tree to kick off the holiday season.

His arrival was followed by the annual Olde Fashioned Christmas Celebration. Nearly 250 children visited with Santa, enjoyed cookies and hot cocoa, and shopped in the secret Santa shop for gifts for their loved ones.

The Oak Harbor Chamber of Commerce credited 2012-2013 Apple Festival Royalty Court and families, Amy Lutman, Carroll Township, Community Markets, Dave Ninke, Gordon Lumber Company-Port Clinton, Julie Solis, Magruder Hospital, McDonalds-Oak Harbor, National Bank of Ohio, Paulette Weirich, Portage Fire Department and volunteers, Roger and Sue Radsick, Toft’s Dairy and the Village of Oak Harbor for making the event a success.

Children can also visit Santa at the Log Cabin Dec. 7 and 14 from 6 to 8 p.m.
