Frederick (Fritz) C. Hany II, Judge of the Ottawa County Municipal Court, was a featured speaker at the recent Ohio Judicial College conference held in Columbus.
Judge Hany and Staff Attorney Barbara Petersen co-authored and produced the course materials presented to the clerks. His presentation reviewed current Ohio civil, criminal and traffic rules of procedure that affect not only the Ottawa County Municipal Court, but all Municipal Courts in Ohio.
“I was honored to be chosen by the Ohio Judicial College to prepare and present my course material to the Municipal Court Clerks,” Judge Hany said. “Not only was I able to share with those in attendance my years of experience as Judge of the Ottawa County Municipal Court, but I also gained valuable information from listening to the others’ experiences.”
Judge Hany has served in the Ottawa County Municipal Court since 1991, having been elected to the position four times. He and his wife Susan (Loeffler) live in Oak Harbor with their two daughters.
