Remembrance service Sunday services at Mainstreet Church will include a remembrance of the one-year anniversary of the devastating tornado that struck Millbury and the surrounding area.
A primary focus will be about the good that rose out of the tragedy and the impact that can be realized when individuals take the simple step of being available for others, according to Pastor Marty Pennington.
“As individuals came forward, we experienced something community-wide that is stressed all the time around Mainstreet – we’re better together,” Pastor Pennington said. “Most of us know this deep down, but the reality is that taking time out to help others can get crowded out in the pace of life most of us live.
“Hundreds of people turned out daily in the weeks that followed the storms, offering help and resources. Even the smallest of amounts of time and effort were life changing for everyone involved,” he added.
Services are held at 8:30, 10 and 11:30 a.m. at the church, which is located at 5465 Monie-Martin Rd., Walbridge.
