Metro Toledo’s first Catholic radio station, WNOC 89.7 FM, is beginning full-time broadcasting this month. WNOC, or “Annunciation Radio,” has a potential listener base of 130,000 Catholics living within the broadcast area. It will serve the region from southern Michigan to just south of Bowling Green, and from Swanton in the west to Bono in the east. Using the expertise of EWTN Radio, programming will feature many nationally known personalities, including Mother Angelica, Raymond Arroyo, Marcus Grodi and Father John Corapi, among others.

The station will also present local programs that will feature Bishop Leonard Blair of the Diocese of Toledo, and Greg Franke, best known for his work with BCSN. There will also be question-and-answer programs and talk shows such as Open Line, Living Stones, Catholic Answers Live and Kresta in the Afternoon. Daily Mass will be offered as will Contemporary Catholic Music of Praise and Adoration and other programs for young people, such as Life Teen Rosary.

“We are anticipating speaking to a wide variety of audiences about spiritual topics that we hope will matter to everyone in our projected radio pattern,” said Deacon Michael Learned, president of Annunciation Radio.
