Library open house

The Stony Ridge Branch Library will host an open house Aug. 25 from 5-8 p.m.

 

The library recently completed a construction and remodeling project, including the addition of a new meeting room and handicapped accessible restrooms. The library interior was also renovated.

 

The Pemberville Public Library and Luckey branch are also included in the renovation project.

 

 

 Closed for Labor Day

Owens Community College will be closed Aug. 30 – Sept. 1 for the Labor Day holiday.

 Performing together
Lindsey Denham and Vicky Monhollen-Clyce, of Oregon, and Matthew Bowland, Genoa, will perform in Broadway at Manhattan’s Aug. 26-28 at 8 p.m.

Manhattan’s Restaurant is located at 1516 Adams St., Toledo.

Car/truck show
The annual car and truck show at Luther Home of Mercy will be Sept. 6 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The home is located at 5810 N. Main Street, Williston.

Owners of classic cars and trucks are invited to display their vehicles. There will be a 50/50 raffle, door prizes, and music by DJ Jerry Daniels.

Mental illness program
The National Alliance on Mental Illness of Wood County will sponsor the NAMI education program for families of persons diagnosed with serious mental illness.

The free 12-week series of classes will meet Wednesdays in Bowling Green from 6:30-9 p.m. starting Sept. 3.
