Navy Seaman Recruit Benjamin J. Kania, son of Gwen Ellithorpe of Genoa, and David Kania, of Millbury, recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.

Kania is a 2009 graduate of Genoa Area High School.
