Navy Petty Officer 1st Class Joshua R. Baker, son of Laurie and Paul Baker of Genoa, is assigned to with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 133, Gulfport, Miss.

Baker, along with other Seabees from Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 133, began construction along with the Tajikistan Ministry of Defense's (MOD's) construction force, on the first phase of a $1 million project at Shamsi Base, Bahrain.

A 2002 graduate of Genoa Area High School, Baker joined the Navy in December 2002.
