Candy-Making for Adults Oct. 27, 7-8:30 p.m., Locke Branch Library, 703 Miami St. Learn how to melt, paint a mold and pour. Participants will also decorate pretzels. Free. Registration required by calling 419-259-5310.

Glass City Singles Halloween Dance Party Oct. 30, Gladieux Meadows, 4480 Heatherdowns. Jackpot band will take the stage at 8:30 p.m. with 20-minute DJ breaks until 1 a.m. $10 admission.

Toledo Area Miniatures Enthusiasts 14th annual free public display of miniatures Oct. 30-31, as part of the 5th Northwest Ohio Miniature Fair (a paid-entry show), St. Clement Hall, 3020 Tremainsville Rd. Hours are 4-9 p.m. Oct. 30 and 10 a.m.–4 p.m. Oct. 31. Miniatures on display will range from dolls to dollhouses in various scales.
