Toledo
Pancake Breakfast to benefit Humane Ohio April 2, 8-10:30 a.m., St. Andrew United Methodist Church, 3620 Heatherdowns Blvd. near Byrne and Heatherdowns. Featuring all-you-can-eat pancakes in different flavors. Proceeds support Humane Ohio’s mission to offer low-cost spay/neuter clinics and a food bank.

East Toledo Senior Activities Center Two-Day Euchre Tournament March 28 and 29 at the center, 1001 White St. Cost: $5 per person. Register by March 24 by calling 419-691-2254. The center is selling raffle tickets for an afghan or quilt made by senior citizens. Drawing will be held April 29.

Toledo Farmer’s Market is open every Saturday through April 24, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. By rolling down the exterior doors that are installed on the west end of the market and turning on the heat, growers/producers are able to offer honey, coffee, eggs, cheeses, breads, wreaths, chocolates and more. Ohio Direction Card and all major credit cards are accepted. The Poultry House is open six days a week (closed Mondays).

Author Ty Roth will visit the Genoa Branch of the Harris-Elmore Public Library March 29 at 7 p.m. Roth, a teacher at Port Clinton High School, will discuss his book, “So Shelly,” a novel based upon the lives of English poets Byron, Shelley and Keats, but set in a contemporary Ohio high school on the banks of Lake Erie. Program is free and open to the community.

Genoa Senior Center, 514 Main St., serves lunch every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 11:30 a.m. On Mondays and Wednesdays, the group plays cards at 12:30 p.m. Blood sugar checks are offered on the third Wednesday of the month. “The Healthy Garden: Mind, Body, and Spirit,” program presented by Donna Foss and Elaine Mylander March 28, 7 p.m., Gibsonburg Branch Library. The program will include slides and a question-and-answer period where gardeners can ask questions about putting in their spring gardens.

Active Seniors are invited to Meet and Eat at the Gibsonburg Senior Center, 100 Meadow Lane. Nutritional lunches every weekday, educational and social programs, health assessments and more.
