Toledo
Free Jam Session Mondays and Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m., VFW 3265, 5416 Summit St. Music, dancing, pool, shuffle board. Refreshments available.

Block Watch 410-M (formerly 422-A) in the Raymer area will not meet in December or January 2011. Monthly scheduled meetings will resume at Memorial United Church of Christ, 1301 Starr Ave. the second Thursday of February in 2011.

Toledo Farmer’s Market is open every Saturday through April 24, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. By rolling down the exterior doors that are installed on the west end of the market and turning on the heat, growers/producers are able to offer honey, coffee, eggs, cheeses, breads, wreaths, chocolates and more. Ohio Direction Card and all major credit cards are accepted. The Poultry House is open six days a week (closed Mondays).

East Toledo Senior Activities Center painting class every Thursday, 12:30-2:30 p.m. beginning Jan. 6 at Navarre Park Shelter House, 1001 White Street. Class is free. For information call 419-691-2254.


Oregon
Book Discussion Group meets every third Tuesday at 1 p.m., Oregon Branch Library, 3340 Dustin Rd. Info: 419-259-5250.

Maumee Bay Country Quilt Guild meets the first Tuesday of every month at 6:45 p.m. in the Oregon Room, Mercy St. Charles Hospital. Guests welcome ($5 fee). Info: Joan Swartz at 419-691-2720.

"James Wes Hancock" Oregon Senior Center, 5760 Bayshore Rd., open weekdays 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Daily activities include: bingo, fitness classes, line dancing, exercise, Bunco, Euchre, and health screenings. Lunch served at 11:30 a.m. daily. A $2.50 donation is suggested for seniors 60 and older; all others $5.32. Reservations must be made 24 hours in advance by calling 419-698-7078.

East Toledo/Oregon Kiwanis meet the second and fourth Mondays of the month at noon in the basement level at Bay Park Community Hospital. Info: 419-693-4458.

Elmore
Harris-Elmore Public Library Adult Book Discussion Group meets the fourth Thursday of the month at 10:30 a.m. Elmore Senior Center-Elmore Golden Oldies at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 19225 Witty Rd. Lunch served Tuesday and Thursday at noon. Reservations required by 10 a.m. the day before the meal. Genoa Senior Center, 514 Main St., serves lunch every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 11:30 a.m. On Mondays and Wednesdays, the group plays cards at 12:30 p.m. Blood pressure and blood sugar checks are offered on the third Wednesday of the month. Saturday Hours added at Trinity Thrift Shop, 105 4th St. The Thrift Shop is now open Fridays from 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m. and Saturdays 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Clothes and small household items are available at reasonable prices. Proceeds benefit mission projects.

Genoa Food Pantry is open second Saturday of the month from 10 a.m. to noon and fourth Thursday from 3:30-5 p.m. to residents of Genoa School District


Gibsonburg
Active Seniors are invited to Meet and Eat at the Gibsonburg Senior Center, 100 Meadow Lane. Nutritional lunches every weekday, educational and social programs, health assessments and more. Pemberville Area Senior Center, located within Bethlehem Lutheran Church, provides programs and activities for adults 60 and over. Open 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday through Friday. Lunch served at noon.

The Community Food Pantry at Bethlehem Lutheran Church is open Monday-Friday 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and Thursday evenings 7-8:30 p.m. Contact local churches for further details.


Walbridge
Euchre Tournament Jan. 8, 1 p.m., VFW Post 9963. $10 entree fee includes lunch. First-, second- and third-place cash prizes. Fourth place wins a free entry to the next tournament. Sponsored by the Men's Auxiliary.


Woodville
Woodville Senior Center offers lunch Monday through Friday at 11:30 a.m. Call 419-849-3636 for reservations. Home delivery also available.
