Bay Area Credit collecting hats, and Mittens etc
Bay Area Credit Union is sponsoring its 17th annual Warm Heart, Warm Hands drive to collect new mittens, gloves, hats, scarves and socks to benefit area families. To help, visit the credit union through the month of December and display your donated items on the office Mitten & Sock Tree.
Donations will be accepted through the end of December and can be dropped off Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to noon. The office is located at 4202 Navarre Avenue, directly across from Pearson Park. For more, contact Val Strickland at 419-698-2962.
Organizations helped through Warm Heart, Warm Hands are: East Toledo Family Center, Hannah’s Socks, East Toledo YMCA, Aurora House, Genoa Schools, Oregon Schools, Mom’s House, Bethany House and Head Start.
First Defiance Financial Corp. announced it will pay a cash dividend of five cents per common share payable December 10 to shareholders of record at the close of business on November 30.
The dividend represents an annual dividend of 1.23 percent based on First Defiance common stock closing price on November 16.
First Defiance Financial Corp. is the holding company for First Federal Bank of the Midwest and First Insurance Group of the Midwest, Inc.
First Defiance has approximately 9,729,267 common shares outstanding.
Six radiology professionals were recognized recently in observance of National Radiologic Technology Week.
The six were: Alexa Stroud, Rising Star Award; Quentin Moore, Educator Award; Kevin Hedges, Clinical Excellence Award; Dr. Jonathan Nadaud, M.D. Physicians in Medical Imaging and Therapy Award; Jill Jaynes, Leadership Award and Roberta (Bobbi) Miller, Lifetime Achievement Award.
The awards were presented by the Medical Imagers and Radiation Therapists from Northwest Ohio who met with radiologists, students and guests to celebrate their professions at Owens Community College.
