ABLE Mobile Benefit Bank Tuesdays 6-8 p.m. at the Birmingham Branch Library. Benefit bank staff can assist with applying for food stamps, home energy and child care assistance, and many other services. Free legal assistance is also available for problems such as bankruptcy, consumer debt, domestic violence, divorce, and foreclosure prevention. Services are free and available to all.

Food items will be donated to the Ottawa County Holiday Bureau and the food pantries serving Elmore and Genoa. The suggested donation is one item for every dollar owed. Patrons may not pay for lost materials with donated food items.

Pet Food Collection – through Nov. 30, First Federal Bank of Genoa is collecting dog and cat food (wet and dry) to help the animals at Humane Society of Ottawa County. Name suggestions are also welcome for the new outside wall contest that will be at HSOC.
