Pesticide collection set
The Ottawa Soil and Water Conservation District has announced a pesticide collection for farmers wishing to properly dispose of excess and unwanted chemicals.

The collection will be held Aug. 27 from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the parking lot of the Wood County Junior Fair Building, 1380 W. Poe Rd., Bowling Green. Sponsors for the event include the Ohio Department of Agriculture, in conjunction with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

The collection and disposal service is free of charge. Only farm chemicals will be accepted. Paint, antifreeze, solvents and household or non-farm pesticides will not be accepted.
