The Ottawa Soil and Water Conservation District will hold its 59th Annual Meeting and Banquet Sept. 29 at the Ottawa County Fairgrounds.

Tickets are $10 for the barbecue, which includes a choice of barbecue chicken or two pork chops, baked potato, rolls, green beans and a variety of pies.

Entertainment will be provided by “Jay Hendren—The Country’s Funniest Farmer.” Those attending will also be able to cast a ballot for election of two supervisors between 5:45 and 6:45 p.m. The banquet will begin at 6:30 p.m.

The “Friend of the District” award will also be presented to an individual/business/agency that has shown outstanding support to the conservation efforts either past or present.
