Open house set
The Center for Innovative Food Technology (CIFT) and Agricultural Incubator Foundation (AIF) will host an open house to showcase the new produce blanching/freezing operation Aug. 5 from 10 a.m. to noon at the AIF, located at 13737 Middleton Pike (SR 582) in Bowling Green.

Attendees will learn how new markets of opportunity will be explored with numerous growers throughout northwest Ohio and beyond. The newly-developed service by CIFT will allow growers to freeze produce, which could be helpful for those with excess product at the end of the season; those who may desire to grow more products if an outlet beyond fresh were to be established; or those who have interest in expanding crop selection.
