On the Wild Side

The Ottawa Soil and Water Conservation District, in cooperation with Winous Point Marsh Conservancy, ODNR Division of Wildlife, Ohio EPA and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, invite Ottawa and Sandusky county seventh- and eighth-graders to spend “A Day on the Wild Side” at a camp to be held Aug. 5 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Winous Point Hunt Club in Port Clinton.

Participants should bring waders or old tennis shoes, a change of clothes and binoculars or cameras. Sessions include archery, bird banding, water quality testing, importance of habitat and history of Winous Point.

The cost to attend is $20. Lunch will be included. Participation is limited to 30 students. Call Carol Benner at 419-898-1595 for more information.
