The Northern Ohio Farm Management Luncheon will be held March 30 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Ole Zim’s Wagon Shed, 1375 SR 590, Gibsonburg.
The program agenda will include an A.C.R.E.S. overview presented by Mark Koenig, OSU Extension educator Sandusky/Ottawa County; a discussion of the Farm Service Agency Farm Loan Program presented by Holly Gates, FSA, Farm Loan Team; a FSA Program Update presented by Todd Warner, FSA County Director; Sandusky County Grain Market Outlook presented by Matt Roberts, assistant professor, Grain Marketing State Specialist, The Ohio State University.

Farm succession workshop
The Center for Innovative Food Technology (CIFT), along with the Ohio Employee Ownership Center at Kent State, Ag Credit and the Braintree Business Development Center, will sponsor a workshop for farmers and other small family businesses that want to explore transferring ownership to the next generation March 31 from 9 a.m. to noon at 5555 Airport Highway, Suite 100, Toledo.
The workshop may also be of interest to business and financial consultants, bankers and economic development professionals. Among the topics of discussion will be determining if the business/farm is transferrable; timetable for change, legal and tax consequences when planning for the next generation, etc.
