Comparing apples to apples
Bill Dodd, director of the Ohio Apples Marketing Program, president of the Ohio Fruit Growers Marketing Association, and owner of Hillcrest Orchards, Amherst, Ohio, will discuss new apple production techniques and EverCrisp®, a new apple variety release from the Midwest Apple Improvement Association, at the Northwest Ohio Ag-Business Breakfast Forum, Thursday, Oct. 17 from 8-9:30 a.m. at the Agricultural Incubator Foundation, located at 13737 Middleton Pike SR 582, Bowling Green.
The program will begin at 8 a.m. with informal networking hosted by the Center for Innovative Food Technology (CIFT) at the Agricultural Incubator Foundation.
Earlier this year, Dodd was selected as the executive director of the Premier Apple Cooperative, an organization comprised of roughly 100 apple packers in eight eastern states dedicated to sharing information to help the apple industry thrive.
The cost is $10 per person, payable by cash or check at the door, which includes breakfast and networking opportunities. Walk-ins are welcome, but those planning to attend are encouraged to reserve a seat in advance by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Northwest Ohio Ag-Business Breakfast Forum meets monthly to provide information on current issues, trends and programs available to the agricultural community and those who support its advancement.
