OSWCD meeting & banquet
The Ottawa Soil and Water Conservation District will hold its 61st Annual Meeting and Banquet Sept. 26 at 6:30 p.m. at the Ottawa County Fairgrounds, 7870 W. SR 163 Oak Harbor.
The barbecue dinner will include chicken or two pork chops, baked potato, rolls, green beans and a variety of pies. The Muleskinner Band will provide music, storytelling and interaction with the audience.
The evening will also include the presentation of the “Cooperator of the Year” award to an individual, business or agency that has shown outstanding support to conservation efforts either past or present. Attendees will be able to cast their ballots for election of one supervisor between 5:45 and 6:45 p.m.

Ag-Business Breakfast Forum
Ohio Produce Growers and Marketers Association (OPGMA) member Bob Jones, Jr., who also manages the family-owned The Chef’s Garden in Milan, will discuss the massive growth in the produce industry at the monthly Northwest Ohio Ag-Business Breakfast Forum Sept. 20 from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at the Center for Innovative Food Technology (CIFT) at the Agricultural Incubator Foundation, 13737 Middleton Pike (SR 582) in Bowling Green.
The program will begin at 8 a.m. with informal networking. The cost is $10 per person payable by cash or check at the door, which includes breakfast and networking opportunities.
Walk-ins are welcome, but guests are encouraged to reserve a seat in advance by emailing email@example.com.
The Northwest Ohio Ag-Business Breakfast Forum is an educational networking opportunity that provides information on current issues, trends and programs available to the agricultural community and those who support its advancement. Farmers, agribusiness owners and supporters of Ohio’s agricultural economy are encouraged to join the forum on the third Thursday every month.
