Young Farmer fundraiser The Oak Harbor Young Farmer Chapter is holding a Chicken BBQ Dinner Feb. 24 in the Oak Harbor High School cafeteria.
Tickets, which are available until Feb. 20, are $8, which includes a quarter chicken, baked potato, green beans, roll and butter and a drink.

FFA sausage sale The Gibsonburg FFA is taking orders through March 1 for the 2012 Annual Sausage Sale.
Both mild and spicy sausage is available in link, bulk or patty form. Link and bulk sausage is offered in either one-pound or five-pound packages. The patties come in five-pound boxes with 20 patties per box.

Harder, Whipple sworn in

Mike Harder was recently elected and Jerry Whipple was re-elected to the Board of Supervisors of the Ottawa Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD).
They were sworn into office by Judge Kathleen Giesler at the SWCD January board meeting. Whipple holds the position of chairman, and Harder holds the position of secretary. They join Vice Chairman Roland Sandrock; Fiscal Agent Tom Riedeman and member Richard Thorbahn on the board, which directs the staff of the district to carry out the conservation of natural resources by assisting landowners, both urban and rural, throughout Ottawa County. |
