A hearing is scheduled for Jan. 21, 2010 for the sentencing of a former member of the Harris-Elmore Fire Department.
Ryan Watson, who was a chief of the department’s Emergency Medical Service division, entered a guilty plea in Ottawa County Common Pleas Court to stealing funds from department organizations.
Mark Mulligan, county prosecutor, said Watson has agreed to make restitution of nearly $33,000 – an amount agreed upon by his attorney and officials of the fire department.
Mulligan said Watson wasn’t indicted because he cooperated with investigators.
Road project A construction project will close Graytown Road (County Road 19) in Ottawa County from Walbridge East Road to Trowbridge Road and the east end of Hausencomb Road through Dec. 24, David Brunkhorst, county engineer announced last week.
The closure goes into effect Dec. 14.
No vehicles will be permitted through the area during construction.
CAGE project OK’d The Woodmore school board has given its approval for the CAGE (Communities Achieving Goals for Extracurriculars) to proceed with the construction of an entry building at the high school track.
The board also will hold its organizational meeting Jan. 4 at 5:30 p.m. The board’s regular meeting will be held immediately after the organizational meeting.
The meetings will be held at the elementary school music room.
B-C-S board to meet The next regular meeting of the Benton-Carroll-Salem Board of Education will be on December 15th beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the Board of Education office, 11685 W. SR 163, Oak Harbor.
