Park board membership expanding

The Wood County Park District Board of Commissioners has decided to increase the board membership from three to five.

Anyone interested in serving on the board should submit a letter of interest and resume to Wood County Probate Judge David Woessner at One Courthouse Square, Bowling Green, by Nov. 18.

Terms for board members will begin Jan. 1, 2010.


Route 795 bridge replacement
Construction of a new bridge and the addition of turn lanes over I-280 at State Route 795 has been completed, the Ohio Department of Transportation has announced.

Shoulder closures in the area are possible and future lane and ramp restrictions will be announced. All work is weather permitting. 

 


Equipment test
The Ottawa County Board of Elections will conduct a public test of voting equipment Nov. 2 at 1:30 p.m. at the board office, 8444 W. State Route 163, Oak Harbor.


Contract approved
The Woodmore school board has approved a contract with the Wood County Educational Service Center for audiology services for the 2009-10 school year.

The board also accepted a donated of 10 tons of stone from Martin-Marietta.
