To help area seniors cope with high heat and humidity that is expected to continue throughout August, the Wood County Committee on Aging, Inc. is offering extended hours and days of service at the Wood County Senior Center in Bowling Green during the rest of the month.

The center will be open and regular programs and services will be maintained 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday. Additional hours are scheduled for Friday evening until 8 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Lunch is available provided from noon to 1 p.m. A $2 donation is suggested for those 60 and over. There is a $5 charge for those under age 60.
