Items sought for silent auction to build two homes
The Hope Builds 2 Homes Project is soliciting donations for its steak-dinner auction fundraiser Saturday, July 9,

Clarence Wilburn, dinner chairman, is asking businesses for donations for the silent auction which will raise funds for the building of two homes for families victimized by last year’s tornado. One home will be built in Moline, one in Millbury. To date, $40,000 has been raised with another $60,000 to go.

An insider’s view
Peter Craig, CSX Terminal superintendent at the new intermodal facility in North Baltimore, will present an insider’s view of the freight distribution hub Thursday, June 16, 7:30 to 9 am at the monthly Northwest Ohio Ag-Business Forum hosted by the Center for Innovative Food Technology, located just north of Bowling Green.

The intermodal hub employs 200 employees and has the capacity for handling nearly two million containers each year. Like an air cargo hub, freight trains arrive directly from across the nation and the cargo is redistributed to a network of double stack trains to speed final delivery across the eastern United States.

Cost is $10. The talk will be held at the Agricultural Incubator Foundation located at 13737 Middleton Pike (St. Rt. 582) in Bowling Green. Walk-ins are welcome. This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
