Branam Oral Health Technologies has secured national distribution contracts for its line of natural pediatric oral health products, according to a spokesperson for Rocket ventures, the venture fund for the Regional Growth Partnership.
The Branam line of natural pediatric dental care products includes the Ortho-Gibby, the first orthodontic teething pacifier that promotes proper alignment and tongue positioning while providing teething relief for babies. Branam is also launching a line of naturally-formulated dental care and functional food products formulated with Xylitol, an all-natural ingredient derived from plant fruit fibers that studies have shown is effective in combating the bacteria that leads to chronic ear infections and tooth decay.
The new agreements will expand distribution to include medical professionals as well as natural food retailers and e-tailers.
Branam Oral Health Technologies was founded in 2007 by Dr. Steven Branam, an Oregon dentist who, after 30 years of private practice, became alarmed at the rise of early childhood tooth decay despite advances in adult oral health care. Free samples
The Northwest Ohio Cooperative Kitchen, a group of 23 food-making businesses, will host an open house featuring free samples of their products Saturday, November 6 from 10 a.m to 1 p.m.
The products range from salsa, to chocolates, to cookies, to pesto. Guests can sample these Ohio grown products and enjoy some family-focused fall activities including:
•Hay rides
•Cookie decorating station
•Face painting
•Rain barrel demonstration with Naturally Native Nursery
•Art show featuring students from Elmwood, Rossford, and Bowling Green
•A chance to win a gift basket featuring food products made at the NOCK.
The NOCK – a non-profit commercial facility, educates and advises new and growing businesses, provides access to a commercially-licensed kitchen, networking opportunities, and technical assistance. Job fair
The fourth annual Veterans Job Fair will be held Friday, 10 am to 2 pm at the Erie Street Market in Toledo.
The event is sponsored by The Source, Lucas County Workforce Development Agency and the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. Veterans will be able to speak with employers, training organizations and other resources.
