Volunteers sought Riders Unlimited, in Oak Harbor, is seeking volunteers to assist as horse leaders and sidewalkers during horseback riding lessons for individuals with disabilities.
Training will be provided Aug. 31 at 6 p.m. Call 419-332-6900 for more information.
Benefit raffle Local artist George Coker is donating a full-sized, working sundial to be raffled to benefit the Jerusalem Township Food Pantry.
Coker, a retired iron worker turned artist, has created many items that are on display at The Schedel Arboretum & Garden in Elmore.
The sundial is on display at Bench Farms SR 2 farm market. Raffle tickets are $1 each or $5 for six tickets and are available at the market. Coker will draw the winning ticket on Labor Day at 6 p.m. He has also agreed to set up the sundial, positioning it in the proper position, if the winner lives within 20 miles of Curtice.
