The Free and Accepted Masons of Ohio, Genoa Lodge #433 has elected Roy Whitehead, of Woodville, as their new Worshipful Master.

In the last five years, Roy has served the lodge by holding several officer positions but now serves the group as Master of the Lodge. He is also the Woodville Police Chief.

“It is an honor to be a member of such a great fraternity and to serve as Worshipful Master of the lodge is an honor,” he said.
There are approximately 250 members in the Genoa Masonic Lodge with several members from the Woodville area. Whitehead also noted that another Genoa member has the honor of serving as Grand Master of Free and Accepted Masons of Ohio. Charles R. Murphy, of Perrysburg, was elected in October to serve as Grand Master of all Masons in Ohio.

There are currently 110,000 Masons in Ohio with 518 Lodges being represented. For more information on Free Masons of Ohio, visit www.freemason.com.
