Columbus may be more than 100 miles away, but the spirit of the big “border battle” game was running high at the Bay Area Credit Union.

Employees were encouraged to wear their favorite team’s colors, and credit members were invited to enter a prize drawing by trying to predict the final score of the game.

On Friday the day before the game, and on game day, fresh-baked cutout OSU and Michigan cookies were available in the lobby. For those keeping score, 80 percent of the OSU cookies were consumed compared to 75 percent of the University of Michigan ones. (Quite a bit closer than the games final score.)

“The employees evenly represented both teams,” said Marsha Gears, director of member services.

Jeff Navarre, who predicted the exact score of the game, shows off his prizes, which included a Wilson NFL licensed football and a $50 VISA gift card.
