Local Author Jean Geist, of Bowling Green, will discuss the self-publishing process at a program May 19 at 7 p.m. at the Birchard Public Library. Geist recently published her novel, “Only in the Movies,” a romantic intrigue set in Northwest Ohio. Aspiring authors will have a chance to ask questions about the publishing process.

Genoa FFA Plant Sale May 21, 9 a.m., Genoa High School parking lot. Featuring perennials, hanging baskets, annuals, flats, pots, flower boxes, vegetables and more. Lab projects and lawnmowers will also be available. All proceeds benefit the FFA.

Pemberville
Pemberville Area Senior Center, located within Bethlehem Lutheran Church, provides programs and activities for adults 60 and over. Open 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday through Friday. Lunch served at noon.

Perrysburg
