Toledo
Lucas County Retired Teachers Assn. Holiday Luncheon Dec. 15 at noon, Inverness Country Club, 4601 Dorr St. Bring a stuffed animal for donation to Lucas County Children Services. Program includes holiday choral music. Menu choices include London broil or chicken a la king. Cost is $18.50. Teutonia Männerchor and Damenchor Ein Weihnachtsstimmung (Advent pre-Christmas) German Service Dec. 19, 3:30 p.m., Grace Lutheran Church, 4441 Monroe St. All Liturgy, Scriptures, carols and anthems will be in German (English translation available). “Gemütlichkeit” (fellowship) will follow the service Offering will be directed to a community need.

Free Jam Session Mondays and Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m., VFW 3265, 5416 Summit St. Music, dancing, pool, shuffle board. Refreshments available.

Block Watch 410-M (formerly 422-A) in the Raymer area will not meet in December or January 2011. Monthly scheduled meetings will resume at Memorial United Church of Christ, 1301 Starr Ave. the second Thursday of February in 2011.

Sweet Shalom Tea Tidings, a formal Dickens Tea to support The Joy Center for Women’s Ministries, an organization providing support to women dealing with abuse, grief, illness, etc., Dec. 12, 2 p.m., 8216 Erie St. Cost is $35. Genoa
Genoa Trinity Church Monthly Movie Night Dec. 3 at 7 p.m. The movie "The Nativity" will be shown on the large screen in the sanctuary. The church is located at the corner of Main and 4th streets. The public is invited.

Genoa Senior Center, 514 Main St., serves lunch every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 11:30 a.m. On Mondays and Wednesdays, the group plays cards at 12:30 p.m. Blood pressure and blood sugar checks are offered on the third Wednesday of the month. Genoa Area Food Pantry open the second Saturday of the month, 10 a.m.-noon and the fourth Thursday of the month from 3:30-5 p.m. at Genoa Trinity United Methodist Church, 4th and Main streets. Parking available at the church.


Gibsonburg
Active Seniors are invited to Meet and Eat at the Gibsonburg Senior Center, 100 Meadow Lane. Nutritional lunches every weekday, educational and social programs, health assessments and more.
