The U.S. Department of Agriculture Farm Service Agency (FSA) has announced new gross income verification requirements. To be eligible to receive some FSA program payments, producers must meet adjusted gross income (AGI) limitations.

The FSA and the Internal Revenue Service have completed a data-sharing process for the average AGI compliance and verification. The FSA will use the information to determine whether or not a program participant complies with the AGI limitations.

Farm producers, both individuals and entities that receive FSA payments, will be required to complete form CCC-927 (individual) or CCC-928 (legal entity) to grant permission for the IRS to provide AGI data to the FSA. To safeguard the privacy of all program participants and confidentiality of the information, program participants are required to mail the completed forms direct to the IRS by no later than June 15. The forms will not be accepted or retained in the county FSA office. Producers who do not choose to submit the forms as required will be determined non-compliant with AGI limitations.

For information concerning AGI provisions or other FSA programs, contact the Sandusky County FSA at 419-334-6330, ext. 2, or at www.fsa.usda.gov/pas/. In Lucas and Ottawa counties, call 419-898-2651 and in Wood County, call 419-352-5171.
