The Ottawa County Ag Society will hold its annual election of directors July 26 from noon to 4 p.m. at the Senior Fairboard Office Complex, 7870 W. SR 163, Oak Harbor.

The following director positions are currently vacant and open for election: Erie Township, Port Clinton or Put-in-Bay Township, Catawba Township and Portage Township. Positions presently filled and up for re-election are Benton Township, Clay Township, Salem Township, Harris Township and five directors-at-large.

Petitions are available at the Senior Fairboard Office and must be completed and returned by July 19.

Ag Society membership is open to any resident of Ottawa County 18 years of age or over. Annual membership fees are $2 per year and are now available at the Senior Fairboard Office. The society is a non-profit organization that promotes and encourages agricultural, homemaking, industry, art, crafts, science and other interests of Ottawa County with primary emphasis on developing the interest in and promoting programs of benefit to the youth of the county.

Meetings are held the second Tuesday of the month at 7:30 p.m. The next regular meeting is July 14. For more information, call 419-898-1971.
