Navy Seaman Recruit Kendra M. Hetrick, daughter of Kelly and Rollin Hetrick, of Oak Harbor, recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.

She is a 2008 graduate of Oak Harbor High School.

Air Force Airman Chelsea R. Espino graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Tex.

The daughter of Amy Martinez, of Oregon, and granddaughter of Andrea Ramon, of Toledo, Espino graduated in 2010 from Morrison R. Waite High School.
