Air Force Airman James F. Hinkle II graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

The grandson of Shelley Hinkle, of Woodville, Hinkle is a 2009 graduate of Gibsonburg High School.

Army Reserve Pvt. Richard A. Miller has graduated from One Station Unit Training (OSUT) at Fort Leonard Wood, Waynesville, Mo., which included basic military training and advanced individual training (AIT).

Miller, the son of Richard Miller, of Toledo, and Janet Dzienny, of Millbury, is a 2006 graduate of E.L. Bowsher High School, Toledo.
