Mayor’s court in the Village of Walbridge is scheduled to start operating in January after village council on Dec. 18 approved reinstating the court and hiring magistrates to hear cases.
Mayor Ed Kolanko said the court may be operating as early as the third week in January.

Lake Twp. – Alex Pease, 25, Wagoner Drive, was charged Dec. 5 with failure to comply with a police order after police were called on complaints of loud music.

Guy Parmigian, superintendent of the Benton-Carroll-Salem School District, has accepted a faculty position at Madonna University in Livonia, Michigan.
He plans to start in August, 2020, following eight years at his current position with B-C-S.

The Lake Township Police Officers Association has collected donations for the Wood County Dog Shelter which included 500 pounds of dog food and twenty garbage bags filled with blankets. Other items included treats, toys, leashes and collars.
